The Rock Cafe

Good Music, With A
Greater Message!

The Rock Cafe is a music ministry outreach, established in 2012. Our goal and purpose is to reach people with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. We provide a safe and loving environment, with an encouraging message of peace and hope. It's our pleasure to pray for, speak with, and provide a hot meal for all who attend. At The Rock Cafe, we worship through song, testimony, and God's word. This is a family friendly ministry. We love to laugh, have fun, and enjoy good fellowship!

Rocky & Kim Gammone are the ministry leaders of The Rock Cafe. They have been married for nine years, and have three children (all girls). They have been serving in ministry together since 2012.

In 2012, The Rock Cafe opened its doors for the first time, in the fellowship hall of Metropolitan Baptist Church (Brooklyn, NY). In 2014, we were blessed with our very own venue in Gerritsen Beach, Brooklyn, NY. After much discussion and prayer, we decided to return to Bensonhurst in 2015 for one final all day outdoor concert. After living their whole lives in NY, Rocky and Kim had a desire to serve as houseparents at the Milton Hershey School in Pennsylvania. So they left everything they knew, took a leap of faith, and relocated to Middletown, PA. They found Fountain of Life Church, and expressed their heart for ministry and The Rock Cafe. The church was interested in the ministry and said that they had been praying for something just like that. So in 2016, we reopened The Rock Cafe's doors at the Living Life Community Center in Middletown. After almost 4 great years in Middletown, The Rock Cafe closed its doors in July 2019. We had the privilege of serving our community, sharing the Gospel, and witnessing people give their lives to Christ. And now God has called us elsewhere. Rocky and Kim are currently attending Mt.Calvary Church in Elizabethtown, PA. We pray that if it be the Lord's will, a way would be made for The Rock Cafe to open its doors once again in the near future.

How The Rock Cafe operates:

The Rock Cafe features local Christian musicians, as they get to showcase their God-given talents, while allowing them to minister to others. We book 2 artists per night, and the artists receive a love offering, which is given by those who attend. There is always an Open Mic throughout the night. So that if the Lord touches your heart, you are welcome to the stage. All artists are always welcome to bring & sell any of their merchandise, whether it be cd's or shirts, etc. Admission is always free, along with a free home cooked meal, desserts, coffee, and cold drinks. My goal when starting The Rock Cafe was to bring the body of Christ together, while ultimately reaching non-believers in the area. I wanted to establish a weekend hangout for the youth, where they can hear the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and listen to contemporary Christian music. I want this lost generation to see the importance and reality of having a relationship with Jesus Christ. The Rock Cafe is also a great place to network. When you have different Christian artists coming together, and performing different styles of music (rock, rap, r&b, etc.), amazing things can happen. You get to make some good friends, & establish some good relationships with people. We have had different artists from around the country (AZ, DE, FL, IL, IN, MD, NJ, NY, OH, PA, TN, VA,) and out of the country (India) come and share their ministry with us. I pray that The Rock Cafe would only continue to grow, & reach an even larger audience. The Rock Cafe gives us the opportunity to bond together & unite as the body of Christ. One artist brings their friends/family/fans, another brings theirs, and so on and so forth. We need to support one another, and ultimately know this is for God's glory. It is not about us. We get to do what we love, and use our gifts to worship, honor and glorify the Lord. And at The Rock Cafe, we are here to minister to people. At the end of the night, we pray hearts are touched, people are reached, and if just one non-believer was brought to Christ that night, then A-men & Hallelujah, the goal was reached!
